Since 1879

The City of Hanceville was founded on May 28, 1879. Located in North-Central Alabama less than 10 miles from Interstate 65. With a population of around 3,000 Hanceville is the second largest city in Cullman County, Alabama's fastest growing county.

Governed by a Mayor and five-member City Council, Hanceville offers full police protection, fire protection and sanitation services to all of its citizens. Sewer services are also available. Hanceville is a positive and progressive community that is moving forward with the rest of the Cullman County area.

Hanceville parks offer tennis courts, ball fields, a swimming pool, picnic pavilions, fishing, playground areas and a walking trails for citizens to enjoy.
