Save the date! The City of Hanceville will host the America 250 Community Celebration on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at C.W. Day Park.
The event will include food trucks, vendors, live music, Touch-A-Truck, kids zone, free pool access, a classic car cruise-in, and a fireworks show beginning at 8:45 PM.

During the May 28, 2026, City Council meeting, the City of Hanceville recognized the Hanceville 12U Baseball Team for its successful season. The team currently holds a 22-1 overall record and will continue competing through June.

Tonight, the City of Hanceville had the honor of recognizing Hanceville Elementary School as one of the Top 25 Most Improved Schools in the State of Alabama, with an incredible 16-point increase in just one year. That kind of growth doesnāt happen by accident; itās the result of hard work, strong leadership, dedicated teachers, and students who are rising to the challenge.
We were also proud to recognize Lauren Bentley, who was recently named Cullman County Elementary Teacher of the Year. This is a well-deserved honor and a reflection of the impact she makes in the classroom every single day.
